Ways to Increase Email Clickthroughs for Maximum Profits Part I

Email campaigns can be very effective ways of exposing your list to your products, but you have to be able to structure your emails properly, and knowledge of the various ways to increase email clickthroughs for maximum profits can enable you to make maximum use of the lists that you have taken so much time and effort to build up.

Most people on your list will open their email inbox and see dozens and possibly hundreds of emails. That's apart from all those in the spam box. What do you normally do when you have lots of emails to trawl through? Do you open them all? Of course not. You might check down the sender's names to try to spot any you recognize, such as friends or relatives, and then scan down the subject list. Most will not be opened.

How, then, are you going to persuade somebody that filled in your form a couple of weeks ago, in order to get that gift you offered them, to open your email? The only way is to use a compelling subject line. I am assuming that you are using an autoresponder here, because if you are not, your email campaigns are going to take an interminable amount of time.

Autoresponders have a feature whereby you can add the recipient's name to the subject line, such as in "Mike, You've Not Seen This Yet, But You'll Want To". If somebody sees their name as they are scanning down a line of emails, they will likely stop. People stop when they see their own name. It has been proved, and when they do you have to be ready for them with a great subject line that compels them to open the email.
